Holiday for Skin and Hair
Some lucky people still have their holiday travel ahead of them. Others are back from their holiday, still reminiscing about happy memories. Whatever awaits you: September is the month to capture the summer break feeling.
You got a tan – now keep it a little longer by taking good care of it
Returning holiday makers take note: Keep the relaxation and the good body feeling – and make the holiday feeling on skin and hair last. Actually, this is possible for several weeks. You don’t have to say good-bye to your tan right away. Take a brief shower in tepid to lukewarm water and avoid soaking your skin by lounging too long in the tub. Pamper your skin with moisturising body lotion, rich body milk and smoothing peelings. Treat your face with cell-regenerating care products. Your eyes are also in need of extra attention to smooth out those tiny sun wrinkles. The best products for this purpose are anti-wrinkle eye crèmes and cooling gels. Your hair needs one thing: repair! Pretend you’re still on holiday and don’t use the blow-dryer. Choose shampoos that repair and rebuild and conditioners that help untangle your hair in the shower.
Holiday sun in late summer – don’t forget about skin care
Anyone lucky enough not to be tied to school breaks can take their holiday now. Prices in holiday regions have dropped and temperatures in southern zones are ideal, providing just the right kick before back-to-business life sets in. You’ll be able to find a seat in cafes or restaurants in resort areas. The beach or hotel pool will no longer be a battle zone for personal space. But even if your skin got used to the sun over the last few months, don’t go without sun block. Use sunscreen with a high SPF to protect against sunburn and wrinkles and give your skin an extra portion of moisture. A special product for the face is worth the investment, since it’s formulated for the special needs of facial skin. Make sure that products for body and face are water-repellent to ensure sun protection in the water. And don’t hang your hair out to dry! It won’t hurt to apply a spritz of sunscreen to your hair – and pamper it with special products for damaged, dry hair.
